We suggest talking about how learning affects a child's brain development. Sometimes parents think that there is no development during school. A child trains his memory when he learns poetry, and expands his horizons when he learns Russian.
To put it simply, learning is when a child learns new knowledge, skills and abilities. For example, learning the multiplication table or writing in Russian.
Development is the improvement of logic, imagination, attention, memory, thinking. A child developed for his age will easily understand the teacher, come up with the right algorithm of actions, solve the problem in several ways.
Brain development is directly influenced by learning. When a child is born, there are already 100-200 billion neurons in the brain, which are connected to each other in links. These connections are necessary for the child to move, think and generally live a full life. And they are formed at the moment of learning, when a child solves math problems, reads a book, learns another language, plays the guitar or learns something else.
Learning helps to improve brain function, to develop the brain. And when children snort: "I won't need to solve equations", you can safely parry: "But the neural connections formed at that time will be useful".
If neuronal connections are not used, they disappear or become fewer. Therefore, the number of neurons decreases by about half in adulthood compared to childhood.
Therefore. it is important to offer your child as many activities as possiblethat will form the most diverse neural connections possible.
When your child solves examples, learns rules, writes dictations, he/she always becomes smarter and smarter. And that is exactly what we strive for.
